"So that I may forget," replied the tippler.

“如許能讓我忘懷。”酒鬼答覆。

“你在乾甚麼？”小王子問酒鬼，這個酒鬼冷靜地坐在桌邊，身邊有一堆酒瓶子，有的裝滿酒，有的是空的。

小王子所拜候的下一個星球上住著一個酒鬼。此次拜候時候非常短，可它卻讓小王子傷感好久。

"What are you doing there" he said to the tippler, whom he found settled down in silence before a collection of empty bottles and also a collection of full bottles.

“你慚愧甚麼呢？”小王子刨根問底，他想幫忙這小我。

"The grown-ups are certainly very, very odd," he said to himself, as he continued on his journey.

“我慚愧我喝酒。”酒鬼說完今後就再也不開口了。

持續踏上旅途，小王子內心一向在想：“這些大人確切非常奇特啊。”

"Ashamed of drinking!" The tippler brought his speech to an end, and shut himself up in an impregnable silence.

"Ashamed of what" insisted the little prince, who wanted to help him.

“我在喝酒。”他愁悶地答覆，語氣有些哀痛。

“忘懷甚麼呢？”小王子扣問，他已經為這個酒鬼感到難過了。

"Forget what" inquired the little prince, who already was sorry for him.

小王子利誘不解地分開了。

“你為甚麼喝酒？”小王子問道。

酒鬼垂下腦袋坦白道：“為了忘懷我的慚愧。”

The next planet was inhabited by a tippler. This was a very short visit, but it plunged the little prince into deep dejection.

And the little prince went away, puzzled.

"Why are you drinking" demanded the little prince.

"I am drinking," replied the tippler, with a lugubrious air.
